I am a Professor of Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Director of the MSc programme on Sustainable Design of Structures against Earthquakes and other Natural Hazards. My research addresses soil–foundation–structure interaction and geotechnical earthquake engineering, from single structures to the urban scale, with current work on full-scale experiments at EuroProteas (Euroseistest), geotechnical seismic isolation, and multi-hazard risk assessment of critical infrastructure. I have participated in more than 30 European projects and work within the Soil Dynamics and Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering (SDGEE) group.
